Job summary

A leading engineering and professional services firm in Greater London seeks a BIM Leader to oversee MEP delivery on diverse multidisciplinary stations projects. The successful candidate will use Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings to model complex MEP services, ensuring a clash-free design through effective coordination with various disciplines. Qualifications

• Valid qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings.
• Understanding of Common Data Environment processes.

Job Description

WSP Rail division seeks a BIM Leader to lead MEP delivery on diverse multidisciplinary stations projects.

Responsibilities

• Use Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings to model 3D MEP services, producing 2D sections for schematic and layout drawings.
• Model to appropriate level of detail through all stages (feasibility to detailed design).
• Coordinate design with other disciplines to ensure clash‑free design and appropriate access and maintenance.
• Maximise data exchange across multiple software platforms managed through a Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Support engineering team in reviewing design data, mentor and upskill technical staff.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience on rail and civil engineering design projects.
• Experience with multiple software platforms including Bentley MicroStation, OpenBuildings and ProjectWise.
• Understanding of BIM and working within a Common Data Environment.
• Experience working with offshore CAD and BIM resources is a strength.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft software, including VBA macros for complex calculations.

• Collaborate from early concept to detail design across Network Rail, HS2, TfGM, local authorities and private developers.
