Mitie is seeking a Billing Transition Manager to lead the end-to-end billing process across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and revenue protection. You will manage a billing team, work with operations, sales, customer service and finance to resolve issues and drive improvements during migration and stabilisation.

The role focuses on ensuring complete, accurate invoicing, meeting deadlines and protecting revenue while enabling successful customer outcomes.

• Ensure invoices are accurate and raised in line with customer terms and service data.
• Lead and develop the billing team, prioritising workloads and coaching.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, customer service and finance to resolve billing discrepancies and reduce delays.
• Monitor deadlines and month-end requirements to support revenue recognition and forecasting.
• Investigate recurring invoicing issues, identify root causes and implement process improvements.
• Ensure billing UAT is completed to business expectations.
• Maintain billing completeness and accuracy during migration and stabilisation to mitigate revenue leakage.

We're looking for a Billing Transition Manager who will be accountable for ensuring the seamless transition of billing processes while protecting revenue, improving operational efficiency, and supporting successful customer outcomes.

As Marlowe Environmental Services Ltd (MES) and Mitie plc continue their business transformation journey, the Billing Transition Manager will be responsible for two important workstreams. Firstly, leading the end-to-end billing process across multiple entities, overseeing billing operations and supporting cash flow through effective billing practices.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and raised in accordance with agreed customer terms, pricing schedules, and service delivery data.
• Manage and support the billing team, setting priorities, monitoring workloads, and developing capability through coaching and training.
• Work closely with operations, sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and reduce billing delays.
• Monitor billing deadlines and month-end requirements to ensure timely reporting and support revenue recognition and forecasting processes.
• Investigate recurring invoicing issues, identify root causes, and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure billing user acceptance testing (UAT) is completed in line with business expectations.
• Ensure billing completeness and accuracy throughout migration and stabilisation periods, identifying and mitigating revenue leakage risks during transition activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in a billing or order-to-cash role.
• Proven people management skills, with the ability to lead people through change in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience managing or working in a billing migration project, system implementation, or finance transformation project.
