Job summary

MAG (Airports Group) is seeking a Cash & Banking Supervisor to join our Group Finance team on a fixed-term contract until 30 September 2028. You will manage a small team and oversee cash and banking activities across MAG’s multi-currency estate.

Reporting to the Head of Transactional Services, you will ensure accurate, on-time processing and strong controls while driving continuous improvement with stakeholders across Finance and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small team to deliver cash and banking activities.
• Strong knowledge of cash positioning, payments, reconciliations and controls.
• Ability to analyse KPIs and reporting to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of three, setting objectives and developing staff.
• Oversee daily cash and banking activities across ~90 bank accounts and six currencies.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Act as SME for operational cash and banking issues, guiding teams and escalations.
• Complete monthly cash and banking controls within the finance control framework.

The role

We’re looking for a Cash & Banking Supervisor to join our Group Finance team on a fixed-term contract until 30 September 2028.

Reporting to the Head of Transactional Services, you’ll lead a team of three and oversee the day-to-day delivery of cash and banking activities across MAG.

You’ll act as a subject matter expert for operational cash and banking matters, ensuring activities are delivered accurately, on time and within a strong control environment. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance, banking partners and transformation teams to resolve issues, improve processes and embed sustainable change.

With responsibility across approximately 90 bank accounts and six currencies, this is a varied role that combines people leadership, operational oversight, financial controls and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of three colleagues, setting clear objectives and supporting their performance and development.
• Overseeing daily cash and banking activities across approximately 90 bank accounts and six currencies, ensuring payments, receipts, transfers and bank postings are processed accurately and on time.
• Ensuring bank accounts and relevant balance sheet accounts are reconciled promptly, investigating and resolving cash discrepancies, unmatched items and aged reconciling items.
• Acting as the subject matter expert for operational cash and banking issues, providing guidance and resolving escalations where required.
• Ensuring monthly cash and banking controls are completed, evidenced and reviewed in line with the Finance control framework, escalating exceptions and driving corrective action.
• Producing and analysing KPIs, management information and ad hoc reporting, highlighting service performance, control issues, cash exceptions and opportunities for improvement.
• Working with transformation teams and process stakeholders to design, test and embed changes to processes and systems, ensuring improvements are adopted and sustained.
• Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business to improve data quality, strengthen controls, standardise processes and deliver a high-quality service.

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have significant experience within Treasury, cash management, cash and banking, or a similar finance environment, ideally within a medium-sized or large, multi-entity organisation.

You’ll also bring:

• Previous experience leading, coaching or performance-managing a team.
• Strong knowledge of cash positioning, payment processes, bank account administration and bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience working with multiple currencies and managing day-to-day banking activities.
• A strong understanding of financial controls, with the ability to investigate exceptions and resolve complex discrepancies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior Finance colleagues, banking partners and service providers.
• Experience producing and interpreting KPIs, management information and analysis to support decision-making.
• A track record of improving, standardising or automating processes and embedding change effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP, banking platforms and strong Microsoft Excel skills would be advantageous.
• A relevant Treasury qualification, such as ACT, or a finance or leadership qualification would also be advantageous.
