Job summary

Last Mile is seeking a Billing Specialist to cover a 12-month maternity contract in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The role focuses on producing accurate customer invoices, maintaining billing controls, and supporting month-end activities within a hybrid-working environment.

Key responsibilities include resolving invoice queries with cross-functional teams, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance, billing or accounts receivable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Intermediate Excel skills with data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate and issue accurate customer invoices and credit notes with approvals.
• Maintain project invoice controls and monitor milestones.
• Produce billing reports and reconciliations and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Resolve invoice queries with Project Managers, Commercial teams and Credit Control.
• Support month-end activities and improve billing processes and reporting.
