Job summary

Morson is recruiting on behalf of an aerospace company based in Reading for a Japanese-speaking Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist. The role supports the GCAP joint venture during a critical growth phase.

You will manage invoices, payments, reconciliations, and key stakeholder liaison, with 3-way matching and monthly reviews, contributing to cashflow planning. 37 hours/week, hybrid (3 days in the office), MOD clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Strong curiosity about figures.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail; able to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Flexible to changes and proactive in improving processes.
• Experience in AP, AR, or both; basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Proficient in Excel; ERP experience (SAP a plus).
• Language proficiency in Japanese or Italian.

Responsibilities

• Post payable invoices accurately and timely (AP).
• Reconcile AP subledger balances with supplier invoices.
• Verify payments via 3-way matching (PO, GR, invoice).
• Prepare payment schedules with Treasury and bank transfers.
• Process Non-PO and ad-hoc payments; manage GRNI reviews.
• Manage aged creditor reviews and supplier statements.
• AR duties: confirm cash, allocate payments, chase overdue invoices.
• Support month-end/year-end closing and audit documentation.
• Suggest improvements via digitalisation, automation and controls.
