Job summary

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Corporate Communications Officer to join the Corporate Communications Team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role is based at Headquarters St Asaph with agile working and a 30-hour week.

You will create compelling content across channels, support internal and external communications, manage digital and social media, and help protect and enhance the Service's reputation while engaging staff, communities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in a related subject or communications experience.
• Experience of delivering internal and/or external communications.
• Experience of creating engaging content for a range of audiences and channels, including digital and social media platforms.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to build positive working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Sound judgement and handling of sensitive information appropriately.
• Welsh language skills to Level 4; fluent Welsh and English written and spoken.
