Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking an experienced Technical Project Engineer to lead bidding and tendering for compressed air pipework projects. You will own projects from inquiry to submission, ensuring accurate, competitive bids and profitable outcomes.

You will manage end-to-end pricing, prepare BOMs and labor estimates, source supplier quotes, and present forecasts for sign-off, with hybrid working and UK travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating mechanical piping systems.
• Proven track record in compressed air, fluid power, or industrial gas installations.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction/mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with estimating software and advanced Excel.
• Willingness to travel within the UK for site surveys and client meetings.
• Valid UK driving license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end bid management from inquiry to submission.
• Prepare comprehensive BOM, labour estimates, and cost forecasts.
• Source quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate options.
• Present final tenders to the installation business line manager for sign-off.
• Coordinate handovers to PPS project delivery team after bid win.
• Identify site constraints and plan optimal pipework routing.
