Job summary

Ingersoll Rand’s Haskel division in Sunderland seeks an experienced bid manager to own the bid process for customer enquiries, coordinating technical and commercial proposals and ensuring on-time, compliant submissions. You will lead pre-bid activities, assemble cost estimates, liaise with stakeholders, and manage post-bid clarification, contract handover, and lessons learned.

Engineering background and knowledge of EU directives are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Engineering experience or relevant engineering qualifications.
• Knowledge of design requirements to comply with current EU legislation (machine directives, CE certifications…).
• Knowledge of current EU design standards.
• Knowledge of PED (pressure equipment directive).
• Knowledge of ATEX.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional service to Customers as a first point of contact for technical enquiries.
• Train and guide other Application Engineers.
• Deputise for the Technical Sales Lead where appropriate.
• Support bid processes from pre-bid to contract hand-over and lessons learned.
