Job summary

Altrad Services A/S is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Piping Engineer to join the Teesside team. The role leads piping engineering across industrial projects, delivering cost-effective solutions and providing technical leadership to design teams.

You will oversee 2D/3D layouts, isometrics, and deliverables, while mentoring engineers and ensuring compliance with standards and client specs. The position supports Greenfield and Brownfield projects across sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on piping design.
• Minimum 10 years' piping engineering experience.
• Experience delivering FEED and EPC projects in industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of piping standards, material science, and best practices.
• Experience across Greenfield and Brownfield projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping engineering and design activities including 2D/3D layouts and isometrics.
• Mentor and develop a team of piping engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specs, codes, and regulatory obligations.
• Deliver cost-effective, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver on time.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables and documentation.
• Support FEED and EPC execution for Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Resolve technical and contractual issues.
