Job summary

VolkerLaser is seeking an experienced Bid Writer/Manager to lead end-to-end bid delivery across UK projects. You will develop compelling tender responses, case studies and supporting documentation in collaboration with operational, commercial and technical teams.

The role requires strong writing and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end bid delivery with full compliance and governance.
• Coordinate kick-offs, progress reviews and ensure timely actions.
• Plan bid programmes, milestones, dependencies across multiple bids.
• Develop bid strategies, win themes and response plans.
• Write clear, tailored bid content and collate evidence.
• Coordinate SME input to support technical requirements.
• Produce project case studies and CVs for bids.
• Ensure consistent messaging across bid content.
• Manage portal queries and document uploads.
• Meet review and submission deadlines.
• Contribute to lessons‑learned and continuous improvement.
• Proofread and format bid content for quality.
