Job summary

3Search is seeking a Senior Bid Writer to join its growing bid team in a hybrid role based in Central London. You will own end-to-end tender responses for major construction and infrastructure projects across the UK, ensuring clarity, quality and compliance with brand guidelines.

The role requires a proven track record in bid writing (5+ years), strong editing skills, and the ability to coordinate with estimators, planners and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bid writing experience in the construction sector.

Responsibilities

• Write, review and edit client-focused responses for PQQs, ITTs and tenders.
• Translate technical information into clear, engaging content for clients.
• Manage clarification questions and client correspondence.
• Maintain bid content including case studies, CVs and project sheets.
• Ensure documentation is professionally formatted and brand-aligned.
• Support production of interview presentations and submission materials.
• Contribute to lessons learned and process improvements.
• Collaborate with estimators, planners, design managers, commercial teams and directors to source input.

A leading major construction and infrastructure contractor are looking to appoint an experienced

Bid Writer due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful business development and bid team, managing the end-to-end tender process across major construction and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

Location

Hybrid working; 4 days in the office 1 day from home based in Central London.

Duties

• Write, review and edit compelling, client-focused responses for PQQs, ITTs and tender submissions
• Translate technical information into clear, engaging content tailored to the client
• Manage clarification questions, procurement portals and client correspondence
• Maintain and develop bid content including case studies, CVs and project sheets
• Ensure all documentation is professionally formatted and aligned with brand guidelines
• Support the production of interview presentations and submission materials
• Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and process enhancements
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (estimators, planners, design managers, commercial teams and directors) to gather technical input

Skills and Experience

• 5 years’ + experience in bid writing within the construction sector
• Strong experience preparing and submitting high-quality tender responses
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Experience working with internal stakeholders to develop technical content
• APMP or relevant qualification is advantageous
