Job summary

Poolhall Recruitment is seeking an experienced Bid Manager / Sales Estimator for a growing construction business operating across Oxfordshire, London and the Midlands. You will manage bids from enquiry to award, prepare detailed estimates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to win profitable contracts.

The role demands strong communication and negotiation skills, plus a solid understanding of JCT/NEC contracts. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• A strong background in bid management or pre-construction within construction.
• Experience tendering for industrial, mixed-use, or car park projects.
• Ability to produce accurate, robust cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead tender submissions from enquiry to contract award.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing schedules.
• Review drawings and client requirements to shape bids.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, and technical teams.
• Support business development and client/stakeholder relationships.
• Prepare professional proposals and documentation.
• Assist with contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Monitor market opportunities and contribute to growth strategy.
