Poolhall Recruitment Ltd, recruiting on behalf of a growing construction business delivering projects across Bristol, London, Midlands and beyond, seeks an experienced Bid Manager / Sales Estimator to lead tender submissions from enquiry through to contract award.

This commercially focused role combines bid management, estimating and business development; you will coordinate the full tender process, review drawings and client requirements, prepare cost estimates and collaborate with operations

Qualifications

• Experience as Bid Manager, Estimator, Sales Estimator, or Pre-Construction in construction.
• Tendering for industrial developments, fit-out, mixed-use schemes, commercial buildings, or car parks.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to produce accurate cost estimates.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Experience managing tender submissions independently.
• Understanding of construction contracts (JCT and NEC).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Poolhall Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a growing and highly successful construction business delivering projects across the Home Counties, Bristol, London, and the Midlands. Specialising in car parks, mixed-use developments, and industrial fit-out projects, our client is seeking an experienced Bid Manager / Sales Estimator to play a pivotal role in winning and securing new business opportunities.

The Role

This is a commercially focused position that combines bid management, estimating, and business development responsibilities. You will lead tender submissions from initial enquiry through to contract award, ensuring competitive, accurate, and commercially robust proposals.

About You

• Proven experience in a Bid Manager, Estimator, Sales Estimator, or Pre-Construction role within the construction sector.
• Experience tendering for projects such as industrial developments, fit-out, mixed-use schemes, commercial buildings, or car park structures.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to produce accurate cost estimates.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience managing tender submissions independently.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, including JCT and NEC forms.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
