BI Platform Engineer: Self-Service & Governance

Job summary

DoorDash’s Core BI team is building a unified BI platform across multiple brands, including Deliveroo and Wolt. The BI Engineer will own the semantic layer, configure Looker and Sigma, and drive self-service capabilities for analysts and engineers.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Data Scientists, and PMs to deliver durable, scalable BI solutions and maintain governance across ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in BI/analytics/code-first data roles.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with AI tooling experience.
• Hands-on BI platform experience in Looker (LookML) or Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the semantic layer behind BI platforms (LookML, Canvas BI models, metrics, dimensions).
• Build and operate Looker and Sigma platforms: configurations, permissions, content lifecycle, and automation.
• Lead self-serve tooling to reduce manual BI administration using usage analytics.
• Support migrations across brands while protecting access, governance and data integrity.
• Participate in production support, debugging and incident response for the BI stack.
• Champion engineering standards: version control, code review, CI and testing for BI models.
