Job summary

Wolt is seeking a Software Engineer for the Core BI team to build and operate backend services, APIs and infrastructure powering BI platforms used across the DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt ecosystems.

You will own problems from discovery through design, implementation, deployment and operational support, collaborating with data engineers, data scientists and software engineers to deliver durable, self-service capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production backend or platform engineering experience.
• Readable, maintainable Python code and strong SQL skills.
• Experience building and owning APIs, integrations or automation in production.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, observability and incident response.
• Experience using AI tools as part of engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate backend services and APIs for BI platforms.
• Automate platform lifecycle and improve reliability, observability and performance.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers and Product Managers.
• Drive developer experience, testing, CI/CD and documentation.
