Job summary

DoorDash London seeks a BI Engineer to design and operate the models and automation behind our BI platforms, primarily Looker and Sigma. You will partner with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists and business teams to turn recurring needs into durable, self-service capabilities.

You will own the semantic layer, platform configuration, access governance and production readiness, contributing to a more integrated BI platform across the DoorDash group.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in BI/Analytics/Data engineering or similar code-first data role.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; experience with AI-assisted development.
• Hands-on experience with BI platforms like Looker (LookML) or Sigma.
• Experience with semantic/metrics layers (LookML, dbt) and production rollout practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the models, systems and automation behind our BI platforms from discovery to deployment.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Product Managers and business teams.
• Lead development of self-serve tooling to reduce manual BI administration and drive automation.
• Support BI platform migrations, governance and data integrity across multiple brands/regions.
• Participate in production incident response and root cause analysis.
