Job summary

Britvic plc is seeking a Category Manager for Off Trade in Hemel Hempstead, hybrid role with weekly travel to the head office and customer visits. You will drive category growth across Beer and Soft Drinks by turning shopper insights into customer strategies, collaborating with retailers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include developing category plans, merchandising, and selling stories, while leading projects and mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Category management experience with space and range principles.
• Identify insights from syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, loyalty) to drive action plans.
• Understand key financial levers and how to optimize them through customer planning and negotiation.
• Present ideas clearly to both internal and external stakeholders; credible in front of customers.
• Lead projects and coach junior team members; bring cross-functional teams together.
• Experience in FMCG or similar sectors with retail/grocery exposure.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted partnerships with key customers and establish Carlsberg Britvic as a credible voice in category.
• Use shopper, consumer and market insight to identify opportunities and increase category growth.
• Manage category plans across range, space, distribution and merchandising, in-store and online.
• Develop impactful selling stories, category tools and customer engagement initiatives.
• Execute strategic category agendas and provide informed recommendations on market trends.
• Work with Sales, Insights and Brand teams to turn category thinking into commercial results.
• Measure performance, evaluate outcomes and use learnings to shape future plans.
• Lead category projects, trials and business cases delivering tangible value.
• Support and develop team capability while promoting collaboration and quality.
• Represent category leadership across the business, promoting category value.
