Job summary

Refresco Pontefract is seeking a Production Team Leader for our UK site, a fast-paced role guiding a dedicated team on a 3 on/3 off days and nights schedule. The position offers a 42‑hour week and a salary of £38,055.69 including shift allowance, with a permanent contract.

You will drive production performance, ensure audit-ready operations, and mentor team members to meet safety, quality and cost targets across the packing and process lines at our Pontefract site.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of OEE and production metrics.
• Understanding of quality systems and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Leading a Production Team to ensure the effective running of the process function and/or production lines and associated systems/equipment, fulfilling the production plan requirements and demonstrating an audit ready production environment at all times.
• Driving the performance of the process function and/or operation of product equipment/machinery and packaging equipment/machinery including fault finding, changeovers, asset care, and basic machine maintenance activities to maximise OEE performance.
• Auditing all monitoring systems required by the Company to ensure compliance with Company Policies/Procedures/Standards and identifying and implementing corrective actions.
• Managing non-conformance processes and corrective action activities to ensure compliance with Company Policies/Procedures/Standards.
• Leads departmental internal and external auditing activities, traceability exercises and product trials.
• Motivate and manage people activities to meet team performance targets and required Company Standards.
• Identify development areas relating to skills, behaviours and competencies and implementing development plans to enhance Standards within the team.
• Participation in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities including leading short interval control and root cause analysis assessments.
• Working as a key member of the Production Leadership Team, demonstrating Company Values and flexibility to support other teams/departments where required.
• Leading the delivery of key performance indicators for the Factory linked to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost Standards.
• Pro‑actively identifying areas for continuous improvement within the production work environment/equipment/systems.
