Job summary

Refresco Pontefract is seeking a Production Team Leader to drive daily production on our large, state-of-the-art beverage site. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure safe, compliant operations and push for continuous improvement to maximise OEE and output.

You’ll manage changeovers, fault finding and routine maintenance, while mentoring colleagues and delivering key KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. This is a permanent, 42-hour role with shift pattern 3 on 3 off days and nights.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a production team in a manufacturing/ FMCG environment.
• Ability to drive OEE and optimise equipment performance.
• Experience with non-conformance processes and corrective actions.
• Demonstrated capability in auditing and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Strong focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to develop and implement development plans for team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Production Team to ensure smooth operation of production lines and systems, meeting production plans.
• Drive performance of plant equipment and packaging machinery, including fault finding and changeovers.
• Audit monitoring systems to ensure policy compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Manage non-conformance processes and drive corrective actions.
• Lead internal and external audits, traceability, and product trials.
• Motivate and manage people to meet performance targets and standards.
• Identify development areas and implement plans to enhance team competencies.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities, including root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Production Leadership to deliver safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPIs.
