Job summary

Trent Precast Concrete Ltd, part of the JRL Group, is based in Nottingham and manufactures precast concrete and GRC units. A Bespoke Precast Operative is sought to join the team, with experience in GRC facilities, ability to read drawings, and strong initiative, either independently or as part of a crew.

Responsibilities include safe production of lattice planks, balcony units and wall panels, mould preparation, formwork installation, and precise checking against drawings to meet tight

Qualifications

• Experience within a GRC facility or architectural precast manufacturing facility is essential.
• Ability to read manufacture drawings and work to processes.
• Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Operative Supervisor.
• Safe and accurate production of lattice planks, balcony units and wall panels.
• Preparing moulds.
• Installing shutters and formwork.
• Positioning lattice girders, reinforced steel, cast-in fixings, conduits, sockets and other inserts.
• Checking dimensions and carrying out visual inspections.
• Working to drawings and setting up precast units within tolerances.
• Achieving daily targets and meeting deadlines.
• Ensuring high standards and compliance with process requirements.
• Adapting and applying knowledge to work efficiently and learning new processes.
