Job summary

Trent Precast Concrete Ltd is seeking a Labourer & Crane Operative to join its Skelmersdale site. You will operate overhead gantry cranes to lift precast units safely, load and unload trailers, and work outdoors across all weather conditions.

Reporting to the Foreman and Factory Manager, you will follow company procedures, attend weekly team meetings, and help keep yards and access routes hazard-free.

Qualifications

• Experience in a factory or manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating overhead gantry cranes is essential for this role.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Foreman and Factory Manager.
• Operating overhead gantry cranes to lift precast units in a safe, controlled and timely manner.
• Loading and unloading trailers.
• Working outside as required across all weather conditions.
• Ensuring all lifting and movement is carried out in line with company procedures and safety standards.
• Providing clear handovers at the end of each shift and attending weekly team meetings.
• Keeping work areas, yard and access routes clean, tidy and hazard-free.

Hours: Monday to Friday — 8:00am to 6:00pm
