Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Dunstable is seeking an experienced Fabricator for bespoke metalwork. The role covers the full fabrication process with high-end, visible architectural pieces.

You will perform MIG and TIG welding (TIG preferred), read drawings, prepare materials, and deliver neat welds using stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel. Laser welding is part of the tech mix, offering varied projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fabricator (not just welding).
• Confident reading and working from engineering drawings.
• Strong MIG welding ability (TIG experience desirable).
• Experience with stainless steel, aluminium, or mild steel.
• Able to produce neat, high-quality visible welds.
• Willingness to learn new skills (including laser welding).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Fabricate and assemble bespoke metalwork.
• MIG and TIG welding (TIG preferred).
• Preparing materials to a high standard.
• Producing clean, aesthetically pleasing welds.
• Working with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium.
• Getting involved in handheld laser welding.
