Job summary

Platter John Lewis Reading is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join the team and support management with daily tasks, working closely with John Lewis partners to deliver an exceptional in-store dining experience.

The role focuses on leading service standards, supervising daily operations, and ensuring food safety and quality across offerings while rotating responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader in hospitality or food service.
• Proven ability to lead a team to deliver high service standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety COSHH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the customer experience is maintained to the highest standard.
• Ensure food safety compliance is followed at all times.
• Be responsible for a specific area or food offering, with rotation as needed.
• Organise deliveries, check delivery notes, report discrepancies.
• Assist with clearing tables and supporting the management team.
• Carry out daily team briefings and assist with team queries.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Work on tills, handle cash, take orders and serve food and drinks.
