Job summary

Benugo, a prestigious hospitality brand, is seeking a Team Leader to join the John Lewis Reading location. You will lead service excellence, mentor staff, and ensure smooth daily operations across the in-store restaurant.

You'll manage food and beverage service, maintain high safety standards, and collaborate with management to deliver an exceptional customer experience within a landmark partnership.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Team Leader in hospitality or food service preferred.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage busy service periods and deliver high standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standard of customer experience.
• Ensure food safety compliance.
• Be responsible for a specific area or food offering and rotate as needed.

Job Description

• Ensuring the customer experience is maintained to the highest standard at all times.
• To ensure food safety compliance is followed at all times.
• To be responsible for a specific area or food offering, with flexibility to rotate to a new area if needed.
• To organise deliveries, checking delivery notes, and reporting any discrepancies.
• Assisting with clearing tables.
• Assisting with any team queries , supporting the management team.
• To carry out daily team briefings and assist with any team queries.
• To ensure all legislative and government guidelines are adhered to, such as Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.
• To work on tills, following the cash handling procedures, taking orders and serving food and drinks.
