Job summary

Five Guys Wales is seeking a talented Bench General Manager to support multiple stores within the district until they take ownership of their own store. You’ll be accountable for day-to-day operations, leading and coaching teams to deliver profitability, and maximising sales opportunities while delivering outstanding customer service.

As a Bench GM you’ll develop your store team, own the P&L, and work hands-on on the line when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy restaurant or retail venue.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Proven ability to grow sales while controlling costs.
• Hands-on approach with line staff.

Responsibilities

In some of our stores, there is a talented Bench General Manager who is waiting for their own store. While waiting for your own store you will be based at one of our existing stores supporting the current General Manager and potentially other stores within the district. You will be accountable for the stores day to day operations and results. This includes; leading, inspiring and coaching the teams to ensure the restaurant delivers profitability, and optimises all sales opportunities while delivering an excellent level of customer service.

Our Bench General Managers are our brand ambassadors, they ensure we deliver an excellent level of customer service while demonstrating leadership, coaching and direction. They will bring our values to life for their team and our customers.

AS A BENCH GENERAL MANAGER YOU'LL BE

• Accountable and responsible for your entire store and the people within


• Developing and managing the store team, while supporting the delivery of perfect burgers and fries


• You will be expected to lead from the front, you will be hands-on at times which means jumping in and working on the line shoulder to shoulder with our Crew and Managers


• Having full ownership of your P&L, which means you will need to drive sales whilst controlling costs


• Your store will need to run smoothly on the day-to-day operations and think about long term planning


• Spotting potential and developing your team to ensure there is a strong talent pipeline
