TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Behavioural Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND school in Nottingham. You will support pupils aged 3-16 with Autism/ASD, help manage behaviours, and promote positive engagement inside and outside the classroom.

The role starts ASAP 2026, with PAYE payroll and market leading pay rates (£95-£100 per day). The school emphasises tailored learning, patience, resilience and strong communication with students, families and staff.

Formación

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience in SEND settings.
• Experience supporting children and young people with Autism / ASD.
• Experience managing challenging behaviour with positive behaviour strategies.
• Knowledge of SEND support strategies and understanding of pupils' learning needs.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable with a genuine passion for supporting young people.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school based in Nottingham, which caters for children and young people aged 3-16 years old with a variety of behaviours and SEND. The school provides a specialist learning environment where pupils receive support tailored to their individual educational, social and emotional needs.

The successful Behavioural Teaching Assistant will support pupils with Autism / ASD, helping to manage challenging behaviours, encourage positive engagement in learning and provide consistent support both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful Behavioural Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience working within SEND settings
• Experience supporting children and young people with Autism / ASD
• Experience managing challenging behaviour and implementing positive behaviour management strategies
• Knowledge of SEND support strategies and an understanding of pupils' individual learning needs
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for supporting young people
