Job summary

Look Ahead will recruit a Specialist Behavioural Support Worker in Hertfordshire to build supportive relationships, carry out holistic assessments and guide customers along their recovery journey. The role emphasizes compassionate, resilient service delivery, with a 40-hour week and a full UK driving licence as part of duties.

• Build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere.
• Carry out holistic assessments of new customers with relevant statutory referral information.
• Conduct regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging to meet Support Plan goals.
• Create support plans based on ongoing assessments and available services to aid recovery.
• Continuously assess and manage risks with a positive risk-taking approach.
• Provide access to services to support recovery and empower self-management of medications.
• Work with external stakeholders to complement interventions.

29,672.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week.

Specialist Behavioural Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post.

The working pattern for this role consist of: 07:15-14:45, 14:15-21:45 including weekends

Note: this is a role for 40-hour days. Possession of a full UK driving licence (a full driving licence that enables them to drive a manual and automatic car as part of their duties) is a mandatory requirement.

What you'll do:

• Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
• Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers which incorporate relevant statutory referral information
• Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
• Create support plans for providing appropriate services based on on-going assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customer to progress in their recovery
• Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking
• Provide support and access to relevant services to enable customers to continue their recovery and empower customers to self-manage their medication regimes through individual re-enablement programmes and informed decision making
• Undertake support work in partnership with external stakeholders to compliment their interventions
