Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is recruiting a Behavioural Teaching Assistant for Sutton. The role focuses on supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs within a supportive school setting.

You will provide targeted 1:1 and small group assistance, help students engage with learning, and build positive relationships to promote development and achievement. This is a term-time, full-time position with competitive daily pay.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, young people, or individuals with behavioural needs preferred.
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach required.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills expected.
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Assist students in managing their behaviour and engaging positively with learning.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage personal development.
• Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support strategies.
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs where required.
