Northyorks is seeking a Behavioural Science Specialist to lead the Behavioural Science Unit within Public Health, Northallerton. You will manage a permanent team and collaborate with partners to apply behavioural science to local health challenges.

You will shape the programme, deliver specialist advice, and supervise related projects, ensuring evidence-informed interventions and effective evaluation across the Council and its partners.

Qualifications

• Specialist knowledge of behavioural science concepts.
• Experience designing and delivering impactful behavioural programmes.
• Experience conducting behavioural analysis.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external partners.
• Highly developed communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational management of the BSU.
• Oversee annual BSU programme delivery and impact.
• Strengthen stakeholder relationships for behavioural science applications.
• Evaluate BSU activity through case studies and success measures.
• Lead staff training to embed behavioural science across roles.
