We support schools across the Wakefield area who are looking for confident, compassionate Behaviour Support Workers to join their teams. You’ll be working with pupils who need a bit of extra guidance, structure, and encouragement to thrive in school life.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis to help them regulate, refocus, and re-engage with learning
  • Using de-escalation strategies and positive behaviour approaches to create safe, calm spaces
  • Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and SEN teams to put effective support plans in place
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, routines, and classroom-ready behaviours
  • Building trusting, respectful relationships that make school feel like a safe and supportive place
