Behaviour Support Assistant - Wilmslow

Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to deliver person-centred support to individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, and mental health issues.

You will be working in a school, supporting children and young people who require 1:1 support for various reasons.

Contract / Position Details:

• Location – Wilmslow
• Position – Behavioural Support Assistant
• Full-time, 8:30am to 3:30pm daily

Requirements:

• Experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviour
• De-escalation training is advantageous
• Candidates from youth work backgrounds or similar roles are considered
• Confidence in decision-making
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
• Empathy and understanding
• Willingness to develop skills through training and professional development
