Job description

Behaviour Support Worker / Learning Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Worker / Learning Support Assistant to work on a long-term assignment within a KS4 SEND School in the Wakefield area.

This school seeks an experienced Behaviour Support Worker, ideally with an interest in sports, to assist with Physical Education lessons. The students in the PRU have been identified with emotional, social, behavioural, or mental health issues; some may also have moderate learning difficulties such as autism, ADHD, or OCD.

Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working effectively with secondary age pupils
  • A clear understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings
  • Ability to build effective relationships with pupils
  • Experience in a PRU or with challenging behaviour
