Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to deliver person-centred support to individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, and mental health problems. You will be working in a school and supporting children and young people who need 1:1 support for various reasons, such as:

1. Children in Looked After Care
2. Anxiety
3. Exclusion
4. Speech and language difficulties
5. Physical and mental health issues, disabilities, and learning difficulties

Requirements:

• Experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour
• De-escalation training (advantageous)
• Backgrounds in youth work or similar roles considered
• Confidence in decision-making
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
• Empathy and understanding
• Willingness to develop skills through professional training

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
