Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children facing behavioural and mental health challenges? Looking for a new role in a mainstream primary school? Are you available to start work this January 2025?


If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dedicated School team as a Behaviour Support Worker in South Leeds.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-to-one support to children with behavioural and mental health issues.
  2. Implement and monitor individual plans in collaboration with the school's multidisciplinary team.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional well-being.
  4. Utilise effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and fellow staff members.

Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Previous experience working with children with behavioural and mental health issues is beneficial.
  2. Team Teach training is desirable.
  3. DBS check is essential.

Skills and Attributes:
  1. Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.

Working Hours: This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work during standard school hours.
