Are you a Behaviour Support Worker who enjoys the flexibility of supply?

We are supporting several SEN and SEMH provisions in Harrogate to appoint Behaviour Support Workers to support their schools and staff.

We are looking for individuals with previous experience working with challenging behaviour. We are also interested in candidates with a strong care and sports background seeking to transition their skills into an educational setting. Graduates are encouraged and welcome to apply, as supply work is a great way to build experience.

The role involves providing support, guidance, and short-term interventions to students to remove barriers to learning, promote effective participation, raise self-esteem, enhance individual learning, and increase aspirations to help students reach their full potential.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work with individual pupils, groups, and whole classes, supporting pupils with a range of abilities alongside the Class Teacher.

Our schools offer part-time, full-time, short-term, and long-term roles.

Requirements

• Ability to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Excellent written, listening, and oral communication skills, with high organisational skills
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
• Two references
• A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
• Team Teach certification is desirable
