We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a dynamic secondary SEMH school in Blackpool (FY4). This full-time role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils who need consistent, tailored behavioural and emotional support to thrive in their education.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
De-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely.
Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and external professionals.
Help to create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH or behavioural needs.
Calm, confident, and compassionate, with strong interpersonal skills.
Able to build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches or Team Teach (desirable but not essential).
Must have or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
