Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Blackpool, FY4
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday), agency basis with potential permanent contract
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £13.75+ per hour

Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs? Do you have the resilience, empathy, and commitment to make a real difference in a student's life?

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a dynamic secondary SEMH school in Blackpool (FY4). This full-time role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils who need consistent, tailored behavioural and emotional support to thrive in their education.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.

  • Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation techniques.

  • De-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and external professionals.

  • Help to create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH or behavioural needs.

  • Calm, confident, and compassionate, with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Able to build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches or Team Teach (desirable but not essential).

  • Must have or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

  • A supportive and dedicated staff team.

  • Ongoing CPD and training opportunities.
