Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker for Sunderland secondary schools to help students stay in lessons, reduce exclusions, and support behavior improvement. You’ll work one-to-one or in small groups, in lessons and around the school, with an emphasis on regulation and conflict resolution.

The role is long-term with ASAP start, offering competitive daily rates paid weekly via PAYE. DBS check required or willingness to apply; enhanced DBS Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
• Calm, consistent manner.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individual students in lessons and around the school.
• Running short sessions on regulation and conflict resolution.
• Helping to resolve situations before they escape.
• Passing information to heads of year and the SENCO.
