Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a resilient Behaviour Support worker for a Specialist School role in the Wythenshawe area. You will support pupils with challenging behaviour and assist those with additional needs, delivering 1:1 and small group interventions during term-time hours.

Working with an excellent SLT and SEN team, you will promote positive behaviour and mental health, monitor progress, and model a patient, empathetic approach to inspire learners across diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Challenging behaviour experience is required.
• Team Teach training is beneficial or willingness to be trained.
• Experience in a PRU would be desirable.
• Personable and role model personality with patience and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils.
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour and additional needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and mental health in school.
• Monitor student progress and adapt strategies as required.
• Contribute to a supportive SEN team and SLT collaboration.

Are you a resilient, patient and passionate individual who wishes to support young people with challenging behaviour? Maybe you have previous experience working with young people with difficulties, or in an alternative provision? I am looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who can work in an AP in Leeds.

Behaviour Support - The Role:

• Specialist School in Wythenshawe
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour
• Assist those with additional needs
• Promote positive behaviour and mental health
• 1:1 / small group intervention sessions
• Monitor student progress
• Ability to cater for an array of different educational needs

Behaviour Support - Key Information:

• Daily rate of £110-£130 per day, term time only
• Full time, Monday - Friday school hours
• Excellent SLT and SEN team to support

Behaviour Support - Person Specification:

• Challenging experience is required
• Team Teach is beneficial, or have the willingness to be put on the course
• Previous experience working in a PRU would be desirable
• Personable and role model figure required
• Supportive and inspiring personality
• Patient and empathetic mentality is crucial
