Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Behaviour Support specialist to work in an Alternative Provision in Leeds. You will support pupils with challenging behaviour, assist those with additional needs, and help promote positive behaviour and mental health during school hours.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only, with excellent support from the SLT and SEN team. Experience with challenging behaviours is preferred; Team Teach training is beneficial, or training can be provided.

Qualifications

• Challenging behaviour experience is required.
• Team Teach training is beneficial or willingness to be trained.
• PRU experience is desirable.
• Personable and a role model for pupils.
• Patient and empathetic mentality is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group intervention sessions.
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour in an AP setting.
• Assist pupils with additional needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and mental health.
• Monitor pupil progress and development.
• Cater for a range of educational needs.

Maybe you have previous experience working with young people with difficulties, or in an alternative provision?

I am looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who can work in an AP in Leeds.

Behaviour Support - The Role:

• Alternative Provision in Leeds
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour
• Assist those with additional needs
• Promote positive behaviour and mental health
• 1:1 / small group intervention sessions
• Monitor student progress
• Ability to cater for an array of different educational needs

Behaviour Support - Key Information:

• Daily rate of £110-£130 per day, term time only
• Full time, Monday - Friday school hours
• Excellent SLT and SEN team to support

Behaviour Support - Person Specification:

• Challenging experience is required
• Team Teach is beneficial, or have the willingness to be put on the course
• Previous experience working in a PRU would be desirable
• Personable and role model figure required
• Supportive and inspiring personality
• Patient and empathetic mentality is crucial
