Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a Behaviour Support worker for an Alternative Provision in Manchester. You will deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and additional needs to promote positive behaviour and mental health.

The role is full-time, term-time and based in a Manchester AP with a supportive SLT and SEN team, offering safeguarding and pupil welfare as a core focus.

Qualifications

• Challenging behaviour experience required.
• Team Teach certification desirable or willing to undertake course.
• Experience in PRU would be desirable.
• Patient, empathetic and role-model personality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour and additional needs.
• Monitor and report on student progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and mental health within the school.

Are you a resilient, patient and passionate individual who wishes to support young people with challenging behaviour?

Maybe you have previous experience working with young people with difficulties, or in an alternative provision?

I am looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who can work in an AP in Manchester.

Behaviour Support - The Role:

• Alternative Provision in Manchester
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour
• Assist those with additional needs
• Promote positive behaviour and mental health
• 1:1 / small group intervention sessions
• Monitor student progress
• Ability to cater for an array of different educational needs

Behaviour Support - Key Information:

• Daily rate of £110-£130 per day, term time only
• Full time, Monday - Friday school hours
• Excellent SLT and SEN team to support

Behaviour Support - Person Specification:

• Challenging experience is required
• Team Teach is beneficial, or have the willingness to be put on the course
• Previous experience working in a PRU would be desirable
• Personable and role model figure required
• Supportive and inspiring personality
• Patient and empathetic mentality is crucial
