Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Behaviour Support Practitioner to work across Northampton schools, helping students develop positive behaviours, engage with learning and reach their full potential.

Ideal candidates include experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Youth Workers or mentors with a calm, empathetic approach and a passion for pupil wellbeing. Multiple full-time and part-time opportunities with ongoing consultant support are available.

Qualifications

• Experience deliveringBehaviour support in educational settings.
• Ability to build relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavioural support
• Deliver small group behavioural sessions
• Help students manage emotions and behaviour effectively
• Work with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Support attendance, engagement and achievement
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Maintain professional approach in challenging situations
