Job summary

Protocol Education in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to provide tailored support to pupils with complex behaviour needs and assist teachers in delivering classroom activities.

The role involves 1:1 support, small group work, and promoting pupil confidence and engagement while building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents. A September start is expected with CPD training available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a behaviour support role, ideally within an education or care setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and supporting students with complex needs.
• Patience, empathy, and ability to build rapport with students.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities.
• Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and engagement.
• Supporting children with complex behavioural needs and SEND.
