Job summary

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and re-engage with learning.

• Record progress and report concerns as appropriate.

£98 £115 per day
Monday to Friday, 8:00am 3:30pm

PK Education is recruiting a confident and resilient SEMH/Behaviour Support Worker to support secondary-aged pupils within a specialist provision in the Featherstone area.

You will work closely with pupils who may present with social, emotional and mental health needs and behaviours that can challenge. The role requires someone calm, consistent and able to build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils in lessons and during less-structured periods
• Using positive behaviour and de-escalation strategies
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping pupils regulate their emotions and re-engage with learning
• Working alongside teaching, pastoral and safeguarding teams
• Recording progress and reporting any concerns appropriately

We would particularly like to hear from people with experience in:

• SEMH schools or alternative provision
• Secondary behaviour support or pastoral work
• Youth work, mentoring or residential childcare
• PRUs, inclusion units or specialist resource provisions
• Supporting pupils with trauma, ADHD, autism or emotional regulation needs

Team Teach or similar positive-handling training would be beneficial but is not essential.

Applicants must be willing to complete PK Education s safeguarding and compliance checks, including an enhanced DBS.
