Job summary

Colne Valley High School, part of Great Heights Academy Trust, is seeking a motivated Behaviour Support Officer to support students’ learning and behaviour. The role is permanent, full-time, with Term Time plus 5 days and 37 hours per week.

You will work closely with pastoral, safeguarding, SEND and teaching staff to promote a calm learning environment, build positive relationships with students, and support interventions within a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting behaviour in a school setting.
• Strong communication with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Support the school's behaviour systems by responding to incidents, promoting positive conduct, and helping maintain a calm and safe learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students, providing guidance, encouragement and support to engage in school life.

• Be a visible presence around the school, supporting students during lessons, transitions, breaktimes and other key points of the school day.
