Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work across Wiltshire schools. The role focuses on direct behaviour support, promoting positive learning engagement and collaboration with staff to sustain consistent approaches.

You will help build strong relationships with pupils and families, supporting restorative practices and safe, respectful classrooms. Ideal candidates are calm, patient and committed to pupil wellbeing, with enthusiasm for professional development

Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in working with children and young people.
• Ability to remain calm and apply behaviour management strategies.
• Positive, team-oriented mindset and commitment to pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behaviour support to pupils and help them engage with learning.
• Support staff to maintain consistent behaviour expectations across the school.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to remove barriers to learning.
• Take a proactive approach to de-escalation and restorative practice.
• Help implement behaviour systems and strategies that promote respect, resilience and safety.
