Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant on a full-time, on-site basis in Cardiff. The role involves delivering 1:1 behavioural support to pupils with SEBD and from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them stay focused on learning.

You should have experience with primary and secondary pupils, be able to de-escalate situations quickly, and enjoy using sport to help pupils reset before returning to work. A driving licence is preferred and a full enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
• Ability to build a positive relationship with a pupil on a 1:1 basis.
• Full enhanced DBS is required.
• Driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioural support to pupils to help them stay focused on learning.
• De-escalate potential escalations in the classroom.
• Engage pupils in sport to help them cool off before returning to work.
