Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is recruiting a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work with KS3 and KS4 students in a mainstream secondary school in Swindon. You will support pupils at risk of exclusion, helping with daily routines and developing strategies to manage behaviour.

Experience with challenging behaviour, SEN and SEMH is advantageous. It is a temporary position with immediate start, working 8.30-3.30, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students in educational or care settings is advantageous.
• Training or experience with SEMH and challenging behaviour would be an advantage.
• You must be suitably qualified and prepared to attend a face to face interview.

We are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to support KS3 and KS4 students in a mainstream secondary school located in Swindon.

• You will be supporting students who are at risk of exclusion; assisting them with their daily school routine and working with them to develop strategies enabling them to manage their behaviour.
• The students you will be working with may have a range of learning disabilities and SEMH needs, therefore previous experience of working alongside children with challenging behaviour, SEN and SEMH needs is an advantage.
• This position is available for an immediate start until the end of the academic year and may be extended dependent on funding.
• Hours are 8.30-3.30 Monday to Friday with a 30 minute break and pay is competitive.

The school is a large, mainstream secondary school with a good Ofsted rating and is located in Swindon. There is a car park for staff use and the school can be accessed by various public transport routes. The successful candidate will have some previous experience of supporting children or young adults in an educational or care setting and training or experience with SEMH and challenging behaviour would be an advantage.
