The school hiring a Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Cater for children who have been diagnosed with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and barriers to their learning
* They focus on helping these children access their education in the same way as their mainstream peers
* Each child has an individualised plan and curriculum
* They facilitate and focus on providing specialist education, where educators and the multi-disciplinary team provide personalised and specific interventions to support learning
* This school offer a supportive environment where you will be making a difference day in and out

What the role as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
* You will be facilitating and providing specific interventions to aid in the children’s learning
* You will facilitate a safe and secure environment for learning to take place
* You will encourage students to achieve the best they can academically, while also adding to their personal growth
* You will keep track of their academic achievements
* Have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding
Qualities you will need to be a great Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Being kind, caring and compassionate
* Having a determination to make a difference in the lives of the students
* Be patient and willing to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the students
* Experience working with children and especially children with SEN will be advantageous but not essential
* You will need an enhanced DBS check, but don’t worry if you don’t have one, we can facilitate your application
