Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work in schools across the Middlesbrough area. You will provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs and help them engage with learning.

In this role you will implement behaviour strategies, build positive relationships with pupils and support teachers to create safe, inclusive classrooms. Experience with children and Enhanced DBS are required.

Formación

• Experience working with children or young people in education, care, youth work or similar.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with students.
• Proactive and flexible attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

The Role

This role involves supporting students who may display challenging behaviour, helping them to engage positively with their education and develop essential social and emotional skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar)
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build trust and rapport with students
• A proactive and flexible attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

• Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or additional needs
• Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or childcare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
